I came here for the first time today, with a rat's nest of a hairdo, thanks to shelter in place for the last few months. Although I was really anxious at first, being very particular about my hair, Elizabeth sorted me out proper. Great work on a head of hair that needed major cleanup!

I let hubris get in the way when I decided to give my son a simple trim on a Saturday afternoon. What could go wrong? I mean, how do I describe what a horrific job I did - oh yes, my son cried when he saw the haircut I gave him. He CRIED! Could I be a worse mom??? Even typing this makes me cringe. I figured if anyone was capable of undoing what I'd done, I would either have to find a sorcerer or an incredible stylist - fast. I felt the odds were pretty slim either way. Anywho, 18|8 came to mind as I have driven past it and wondered what a luxury men's salon is and what kind of person patronizes such a place. Well, I am here to tell you who goes to a place like this: a lot of men/boys with really good haircuts and a mom who butchered her son's hair on a Saturday and needed to be saved on a Sunday. And saved I was! Mai may not be a sorcerer but she is most DEF a wizard with hair. I am bringing both of my sons to her from now on and I absolutely, solemnly swear to never Edward Scissorhands my child again. Oh! And they had juice boxes for the kids (along with the beer and wine offerings for adults). Everyone was nice. The place is clean and in a cute area of Lafayette. Fabulous!

My husband has been seeing Carlos for over 15 years. We finally brought our teenage son in to see Carlos to start experiencing more mature haircuts. Of course, he did not disappoint!! He made my son look and feel amazing. My son could not stop smiling and walked out of the salon a new, handsome & confident man! Thank you, Carlos, for making my son's first salon experience so awesome!

This is the second time I have been to 18/8. Mia was my stylist. She was amazing and took her time to make sure I was happy with my hair cut. I already made my next appointment with her. Love the purple hair!
